At the recent South Carolina Optimist 2024 Convention, we had the pleasure of electing new officers who will lead our district in the coming year. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Roger Sullivan, who was elected as Governor-elect, Juliette Bennett, who will serve as Zone 1 Lieutenant Governor, and Dr. Lisa Justice, who will take on the role of Zone 2 Lieutenant Governor.
While there were no initial nominations for the Zone 3 Lieutenant Governor position, we are delighted to announce that John Grover graciously volunteered and was appointed to the role by Governor-designate Bonnie Jean Sherbert just prior to the installation ceremony. We are confident that John will bring great energy and leadership to Zone 3.
The newly elected officers had the distinct honor of being installed by Optimist International President Tracy Huxley. Adding a unique and memorable twist, the installation took place in the midst of a Colonial Spy Mystery event, with many attendees in costume, making it a truly special occasion.

We are also especially thankful for the leaders who stepped up to fill committee chair positions listed below. Your dedication is invaluable, and we look forward to a wonderful and Optimistic year ahead with this incredible team.
